Poojary of the Indian National Congress (INC), who garnered 614,924 votes. Chowta's victory margin was 149,208 votes. Born and raised in Mangaluru, Chowta's political journey began in 2013 when he joined the BJP. Over the years, he has held various key positions within the party, including District General Secretary of Yuva Morcha and District BJP General Secretary. In 2023, he was appointed as the State Co-Convenor for Yuva Samvada and later as the secretary of the BJP Karnataka state unit.
