Tej Pratap Laluprasad Yadav is a prominent Indian politician and former Member of the Bihar Legislative Assembly (MLA). As of 2025, he is set to contest the Bihar assembly elections as an Independent candidate from the Mahua constituency in Samastipur district, Bihar. Earlier, he served two terms as an MLA, first from Mahua (2015–2020) and then from Hasanpur (2020–2025). He was a Cabinet Minister of Health and Environment in the Bihar Government. Tej Pratap was formerly associated with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), a major political party in Bihar. Recently, after his expulsion from RJD in May 2025, he formed an alliance with five minor parties to focus on social justice, development, and farmer welfare in Bihar. He is known for his focus on youth leadership and social development initiatives.
