Munirathna Biography

Munirathna Naidu, well-known as Munirathna, is an Indian film producer and BJP politician. He has been serving as the Minister of Horticulture and Planning, Programme Monitoring & Statistics of Karnataka since 4 August 2021. Previously, he was elected as an MLA from the Rajarajeshwari Nagar constituency in 2013, 2018, and 2020, respectively. Later, he decided to resign from the Assembly in 2019. In the 2023 Assembly elections, Munirathna again contested but was defeated by INC candidate Kusuma H. On the personal front, Munirathna was born on 23rd July 1964 to Subramanya Naidu. Besides, Munirathna has produced several super hit films that include Aunty Preethse, Raktha Kanneeru, Anatharu, Katari Veera Surasundarangi, Kurukshetra, and many more.
