He completed his education with a Master of Arts (M.A.) and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degrees, which laid the foundation for his analytical and leadership abilities. Roji began his political journey as a student leader, serving as the Chairman of Sacred Heart College, Thevara, and later as a Councillor at Jawaharlal Nehru University (J.N.U.), Delhi. He was actively involved in student politics, holding the positions of Vice President and President of the National Students' Union of India (NSUI) from 2014 to 2019. Since July 2022, he serves as Secretary of the All India Congress Committee (AICC).
